In the summer of 2014, members of the Perkinsville Nature Conservancy helped raise a large vented-roof grill pavilion on their property. The frame is Red Oak and the rafters and roof boards are Hemlock. All materials were donated by club members. The frame timbers were cut from leftover slash from a logging operations that would have otherwise become firewood. The pegs are hand-riven red oak and locust. The pavilion is used during large steak roasts and chicken BBQs and was artfully positioned to provide an excellent view of an active Osprey nest.
